この映画(えいが )は犬の平凡（へいぼん）な一世（いっせい）の物語（ものがたり）です。この白い犬の名前はQuill(クイール)です。犬の身（み）の前に特別（とくべつ）なあざが----鳥（とり）の羽（はね）のようにあるんです。この映画には犬が分離（ぶんり）することが四回ぐらいあります。

Qの第（だい）４５日のとき、家の母と分離しました。養父母（ようふぼ）のうちに住んでいました。そこで、Qは母と父がもう一度ありました。とても親切な人です。でも、残念（ざんねん）だっで 、楽しい一年間がすぎるとき、訓練（くんれん）センターにいって, 盲導犬（もうどうけん）がなりました。

訓練センターの中に、Qは一番じゃありませんでした。いつも、Qはらんだですから、指導者（しどうしゃ）が失望（しつぼう）させていました。しかし、Qは頑張（がんば）っていて、指導者の讃美（さんび）をもらいました。そのあと、Qはセンターで新しい主人（しゅじん）にあって――渡辺（わたりべ）さんです。渡辺さんははじめは犬を信じませんでしたけど、心意（しんい）を変（かえ）えました。それからの二人は友だちになりました。しかし、渡辺さんは入院（にゅいん）しました。Qがいつも渡辺さんのそばにいていて、渡辺さんはとてもQのこと感謝（かんしゃ）しました。そして、渡辺さんは逝（い）きました。其れは第三回の分離です。

Qはもう一度訓練センターに行きました。それでは、センターに7年ぐらい住んでいました。その後、Qは養父母のうちに帰りました。でも、12さいになったばかりで、Qは静かに逝きました。これは最後（さいご）の分離です。Qは平凡なラブラドール・レトリーバーで、平凡な盲導犬で、平凡な一世が終わりました。
